Candidate for Vice President of Administration
Chandra Gaines serves on the Foodservice South Region National Sales Team for PepsiCo. In this role, Chandra is responsible for supporting national restaurant accounts in the North and South regions. Her primary responsibilities will be to cultivate strong relationships with customers, activate national marketplace initiatives and assist in maximizing revenue and share growth for assigned portfolio. Chandra has 16 years of experience in the automotive industry where she spent the majority of her career at Ford Motor Co. She has held various roles in finance, procurement, manufacturing and operations. Most recently, Chandra was a senior manager with Walmart in Bentonville, AR where she was responsible for project management on the shared services and strategy team. She is a flexible leader with a notable track record in producing cost savings, revenue growth and driving efficiency results. Chandra earned her MBA in Strategy and International Business from J. Mack Robinson College of Business – GSU in Atlanta, GA and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Marygrove College in Detroit, MI. Chandra, is a native of Detroit and currently resides in Atlanta

Experienced business advisor in CPG (consumer package goods), retail and manufacturing industry for Fortune 500 companies with expertise and knowledge in multiple facets of the business including; Foodservice Sales, Operations, Global Shared Services, Supply Chain, Product Development and Engineering. Transformational servant leader with notable track record to drive revenue, cost savings and ability to manage complex projects.

- The Atlanta Chapter is very active within the business and civic communities in the Greater Atlanta Area. Describe how your addition to the Atlanta Chapter will increase our brand standing and visibility within the communities we serve.
My contribution to the Atlanta chapter will bring a strong network, leadership capabilities, commitment and an understanding the importance of social responsibility. I stand strong on giving back as a humanitarian and truly know that my purpose in life isn’t for me, but here to help others. Whether, it is professional development, helping a professional gain employment or connecting the right people for the right purpose. Through my authentic relationships built over time, I will bring funding and resources to uphold our mission and contribution to continue our commitment to the creation of economic and intellectual wealth in the African-American community. These attributes will contribute to the strong brand recognition and visibility in the Atlanta area.

I do understand working in this board position beside other leaders is a commitment. I don’t have any conflicts that will prohibit me to contribute to this leadership role
- Why the NBMBAA Atlanta Chapter Board of Directors? Please include your goals and desires for service.
I’ve been part of the NBMBAA for over 10 years. My desire and role has grown from a volunteer to a board position. I see first-hand how hard and committed NBMBAA leaders are in supporting the community with many programs that contribute to people’s lives. I want to continue to be a leader that contributes to growing our membership, corporate partners and help professionals reach their career aspirations. I will promise to focus on these three areas: Connect, Collaborate and Communicate.
My desire is to serve as the Vice President of Administration. I will vow to be there as needed to support the next president and next board of directors as we continue to grow our programs and chapter with innovative and out of the box thinking while in office. I believe that my leadership skills will support the board in making solid decision as it impacts our members and brand.
