Student affairs

At the NBMBAA Atlanta Chapter, the value of education is most important.  Student Affairs acts as the liaison between the Chapter and educational institutions.  Student Affairs works with graduate and undergraduate business students as well as faculty, staff, and administration of metropolitan Atlanta graduate business schools.  Student Affairs recruits and retains Chapter student members, develops and executes programs that address their needs, and facilitates the scholarship application and selection process.

The NBMBAA Scholarship Program has been in existence since 1982.  The NBMBAA Atlanta Chapter believes an investment in the education of our youth is an investment in our future.  The Atlanta Chapter has historically awarded more than $20,000 in scholarships annually.  In recent years, the Atlanta Chapter awarded over $90,000 in scholarships.  The program is supported by donations from our corporate partners, education partners, and members.

Student Liaison Committee

The Student Liaison Committee (SLC) is comprised of at least two 1st-year and two 2nd-year MBA students from each of the AACSB-accredited MBA programs in the metropolitan Atlanta area.  The SLC assists Student Affairs with the development and implementation of student programming.  SLC members act as liaisons for their respective programs, communicating Atlanta Chapter events and activities to faculty, administration, and fellow students.  Contact to join the SLC.
