The Atlanta Chapter of the National Black MBA Association was established in 1980 with 20 charter members. Its current membership body is comprised of graduate business degree holders and current students, as well as entrepreneurs, who have distinguished themselves in the business arena.

The Chapter’s mission mirrors that of its parent organization – to lead in the creation of creation of educational, career and entrepreneur opportunities resulting in economic development for our members and community.  The Chapter executes this mission via the activities of 10 standing committees, including Community Affairs, Economic Development, Government Relations, and Student Affairs.

With more than 700 members, Atlanta has ranked as the largest chapter in the organization since 1999. From a field of eight competing chapters, the Atlanta Chapter was chosen for three years consecutively as the Southern Region’s “Chapter of the Year” because of its effectiveness in executing programs and initiatives.

Atlanta has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years, and continues to develop and implement viable and valuable programs, initiatives and partnerships for all National Black MBA Association stakeholders - members, strategic partners, corporate partners, supporters and benefactors.

The chapter is among the premiere business organizations within the Metropolitan Atlanta Area and is dedicated to creating partnerships that lead the charge in Creating Intellectual and Economic Wealth within the African-American Community.
