Vice President Human Resources  
The Vice President Human Resources is the Arthritis Foundation’s Chief Human Resources Officer reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.  The selected candidate will be responsible for developing strategies and delivering programs and services that build a culture of top performance among staff and volunteers at the Arthritis Foundation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum 10 years progressive leadership experience is required.
  • Experience providing strategic counsel to senior leadership to ensure alignment of people strategies with business strategies.
  • Significant experience leading change, including organizational design, in a large and complex organization.
  • Expertise in the recruitment, assessment, training, development, recognition and retention of talent (staff and/or volunteers) required.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing teams to achieve outcomes that meet the needs of customers/constituents.
  • Experience creating innovative opportunities to attract, develop, engage and retain diverse talent.
  • The successful candidate will possess well developed interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with groups of senior level volunteers and staff to solve problems, establish goals, develop strategies, set priorities to achieve agreement or consensus
  • Track record of success in organizations where influence is a critical component of the decision-making process.
The VP HR oversees a department of 5 professional staff in the National Office, and provides HR leadership for the Arthritis Foundation’s10 Regions to work together to support 700 staff nationwide and more than 1000 volunteers.
